Overcoming Dental Barriers One Patient at a Time

Avatar for Fidler on the Tooth by Fidler on the Tooth

At Fidler on the Tooth, our philosophy is that every patient is unique and we understand that sometimes there are dental barriers that get in the way of having a happy healthy smile.

These dental barriers can include:

  • dental anxiety
  • a busy schedule
  • financial limitations

Our top priority is overcoming these barriers and addressing the individual needs of our patients because everyone deserves to have a healthy smile. Our team truly wants to interact with patients on a real human level. We realize that each person has different wants and expectations and we take that into consideration.

Is fear or anxiety keeping you away from the dentist?

We understand how it feels to have anxiety about seeing the dentist. We offer different options to help you get comfortable in the dental chair and will let you set the pace. During all her years in dentistry, Dr. Fidler has treated many high-anxiety or fearful dental patients and helped them overcome their unique dental barriers. After years of listening to and understanding their stories, she’s gathered that much of their anxiety stems from poor dental treatment as a child, not being listened to, or not being believed.

Overcoming dental anxiety and fear to the point where a patient can actually say, “I don’t even mind coming to the dentist anymore!” is the best compliment we can receive.

We may not become your favorite place to be but, to be able to get someone comfortable enough to get the treatment done with a healthy mouth as a result is deeply gratifying. We want to help replace bad dental memories with good ones! It is very rewarding for all of us when a patient expresses that we have helped them tremendously in tackling their fear of the dentist.

Is your schedule too busy to go to the dentist?

Dr. Fidler is a mother of 4 and empathizes with the challenges of managing a busy lifestyle, which is why we offer early and late appointments to overcome that barrier to dental treatment. We have:

  • appointments as early as 7AM on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
  • late appointments are also available on Wednesdays

We will do everything we can to get an appointment that will work with your busy schedule!

Are finances an obstacle to dental care?

If finance is the problem, we offer different options to help meet patient needs.

  • If you have dental insurance, we’re happy to contact them for you so we know what your benefits are and what you are covered for.
  • You also have the option of using CareCredit. This allows you to pay for any out-of-pocket expenses. We offer 0% interest for up to 12 months! For more information or to apply, go to CareCredit.com.
  • We accept major credit cards as well, such as Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

The compassionate and caring staff here at Fidler on the Tooth is concerned with the overall health of each individual and that is what truly sets us apart; but let’s face it, most people don’t like visiting the dentist and there is usually a reason for that.

We want to make sure we can accommodate our patients no matter what the dental barrier may be. Our Seattle dentist, Dr. Fidler also wants to give patients a positive visit and build a better overall view of dentists—not as people who cause pain, but as people trying to help.

But don’t take our word for it! Read some of our Seattle dentist’s patient testimonials here!

Let’s work together to overcome your dental barriers and give you the healthy and beautiful smile you deserve! Contact our office today!
