Hope for Me, Hope for You—Hope on the Slopes!
by Vicki FidlerCancer is a disease that has affected nearly all of us in one way or another. Last weekend Jessica, one of our hygienists here at your Seattle Dentist, Fidler on the Tooth, participated in Hope on the Slopes; a fundraiser for American Cancer Society.
She and her team hit the slopes up at Steven’s Pass starting early Saturday morning, where they skied at least 2 runs for 24 hours straight to help raise money for this important cause. In addition to skiing and raising money, Hope on the Slope participants had the opportunity to partake in a torch light run. All the lights on the run were turned off, and each skier or snowboarder held a giant sparkler while they all made their way down the run in formation. Such an incredible sight to see!
This event is especially close to Jessica’s heart because she has lost several immediate family members and close friends to cancer. Raising money to help those who are currently fighting the incredible fight against cancer at this great event was an amazing experience that won’t soon be forgotten.
